Having studied at the University of the Arts in Berlin and as an exchange student at the University of East London, Michaela graduated in 2000.
In 2002 Michaela won the Young Generation Award (Hans Schafers Preis) awarded for her final year project on Regeneration in Hackney. She worked in Germany and Switzerland before moving with her family to London. Her projects in Europe included the Maienfield Sports Hall Conversion, Switzerland and construction of apartments for a Swiss hotelier, St Moritz.
Michaela joined Cazenove in 2003, and has worked on a number of Educational and Community projects.
At present Michaela is working on Goose Green Children's Centre in Southwark, where she continues to develop her keen interest in the quality of construction. She lives with her partner and two children in South London.
